Asiya Ali is a self taught illustrator & oil painter creating art inhabited by her favorite icons and motifs. After the Women’s March, she was inspired to portray the hurdles, experiences, desire, dreams of Pakistani women. Her floral patterns are inspired by women - she believes like flowers, they cannot share their beauty, if it is not cared for. Her most recent work merges imagination and memory, composing portraits into nostalgia. When Asiya is not drawing or sketching she is a full-time vice-principal at The Smart School Pre Campus in Quetta, Pakistan.
