Pakistan has suffered an unprecedented climate catastrophe. Although, Pakistan contributes only 1% of global emissions - it is one of the most vulnerable countries to man-made climate change. Torrential monsoon rains compounded with melting glaciers from record breaking heat have caused devastating flash flooding and spread of waterborne diseases. This catastrophe has cost the lives of over 1,300 people including children and injuring thousands, destroyed thousands of crops, caused nearly 800,000 live stock to perish, submerged thousands of homes, decimated hundreds of roads and bridges, and have displaced countless families, women and children who are living under the open sky under the hot sun.

Over 33 million people have been impacted by these "Monsoon on steroids" leaving one-third of Pakistan underwater. This climate catastrophe has caused acute food shortage and a crisis of unimaginable proportions.

No matter how big or small your donation, every dollar makes a difference. Many US based 501(c)(3) charities have partnered with organizations on the ground in Pakistan for immediate relief efforts.

Unicef, UNHCR, Islamic Relief, Thaakat Foundation and more.
