Wegahta - The First Break of Light by Mahder Tella

Mahder Tella (Mahdi) is a 3D portrait artist specializing in string art and mixing this medium with roofing nails. Her artistry also includes photography, painting, digital art, and resin sculptures. She is inspired by the beauty, power, and great pain from her home region of Tigray. She is an advocate for the end of the war in Tigray, Ethiopia, which is the target of widespread human rights abuses.

Girlfriends: Creative Kickback by Christie Clermont

Christie Clermont is a folk-based and abstract artist. She believes that a painting should jump out at you and tell a story. Her use of vibrant colors and bold lines creates striking images with women of color as her subject. Christie not only is a visual artist, but also an educator. She teaches art to kids and adults, providing them with basic tools and formulas to create their desired piece. She also designs earrings, handbags and other merchandise too.
